Bunker of the German Bundesbank Cochem

For decades it was one of the Federal Republic’s best kept secrets: the bunker of the German Bundesbank in Cochem. Hidden in between the Moselle’s steep slopes in a residential area, it was here that the German Bank to protect West Germany from a national economic crisis in the event of potential hyperinflation caused by the Cold War. The bunker has become an official museum in 2016.
The guided tour through this imposing and unique documentation centre takes approximately 60 minutes. Warm clothes are highly recommended as the temperature is at 12 degrees. Join us on a journey through recent contemporary history and experience the bunker’s atmosphere up close.
