By car

The fastest way to reach Cochem by car is to take the A48 Koblenz-Trier motorway. When arriving from the East, take the motorway exit Kaisersesch (No. 4). From there, continue for about 12 km in order to reach Cochem by following the signage. When arriving from the West, take the motorway exit Ulmen (No. 2). From there, follow the guideposts for another 23 km in order to reach Cochem.

By train

The city of Cochem can just as well be reached via railway. All the railway lines that are running on the rail route between Koblenz and Trier stop at Cochem train station. The regional express RE1 takes 37 minutes from Koblenz and 49 from Trier.

By plane

Known as a low-priced flying destination with flights by Ryanair and other budget airlines, Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (also known as Hunsrück Airport) can be found at a distance of only 43 km from Cochem. In addition, there are major international airports that the city of Cochem is surrounded by: Köln-Bonn Airport (110 km), Luxembourg Airport (130 km), Frankfurt Airport (144 km), Düsseldorf Airport (159 km).
At Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, you can take the “AirportShuttle Mosel” in order to get to Cochem. In case you arrive at one of the other mentioned airports, it is best to go by train or to take a rental car.
