Scope of Application

The City Administration of Cochem strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the Rhineland-Palatinate Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV-RP) and the State Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (LGGBehM).
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.cochem.de in its current layout.

Level of Compliance with the Requirements of the BITV-RP

This website is largely accessible, but not fully compliant due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions (Lighthouse Accessibility Score ≧ 83):

  • The contrast ratio between background and foreground colors is insufficient. Some color combinations may not fully meet the contrast requirements of the BITV-RP.
  • Links do not have easily recognizable names.
  • Touch target areas are inadequately sized or spaced, and heading elements are not arranged in a consistently descending order.
  • Not all content and functions can be accessed and operated without restrictions using a keyboard.
  • Texts are not yet available in German Sign Language.

The City Administration of Cochem is making every effort to rectify these deficiencies as quickly as possible to achieve a high level of accessibility.
